My name is Karen McMahon.  In 2020, I moved to the Desert Hills / Anthem area of north Phoenix.    I am an AZ K-12 Certified educator, with a Masters degree in Education.   I have taught 17 years in the PVUSD district.  My 17 years of teaching included elementary reading and language, as well as middle school reading.  I have a Reading Specialist endorsement and I have worked with a range of student abilities in reading and writing.   

     I have been tutoring for twenty years in all subject areas.   I have tutored math levels up to high school Algebra 1-2 and Geometry.   I am fluent in Spanish and have a current Spanish teaching certification.

      I am also a mother, with a 6th grader attending a CCUSD dual language immersion school this year.  Since moving up here, we've acquired two cats and a dog, and we are loving our neighborhood up in the desert.
